The 2024 Dallas Open will mark the ATP Tour's move back to the United States ahead of the popular Sunshine Double, and the entry list of the event is full of home players.
After the tennis season starts Down Under in Australia, many American tennis players are looking forward to returning to their home soil, where they get a chance to compete in many tournaments throughout the year.
One of those is also the ATP 250 event in Dallas, held from February 5th to 11th, which offers players a chance to return to the United States before competing at the Indian Wells Masters and the Cincinnati Open.
And home players certainly know what it means to deliver fans a show, as there are plenty of them on the entry list. Last year, one man disappointed them all, when Yibing Wu won the title and became the first Chinese man to do so.
However, he's not set to defend his trophy in 2024, and that gives a lot of home grown talent a chance to show their skills. And there probably aren't five better players to represent the United States in Dallas than Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, Christopher Eubanks, and the 2022 champion, Reilly Opelka.
They are among the brightest American names that will participate at the tournament, but of course, it won't be only about them. Adrian Mannarino, Mackenzie McDonald, Max Purcell, and Jordan Thompson are all set to compete at the tournament too.
On top of that, they will be joined by the likes of J.J. Wolf, Miomir Kecmanovic, and Yoshihito Nishioka, so there's no doubt that the 2024 Dallas Open will be a competitive affair.
