The 2023 Dallas Open promises to be a spectacular event, especially after the recent rise of men's tennis in the United States.
Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz, J.J. Wolf, Marcos Giron, Mackenzie McDonald, and Michael Mmoh all showed their qualities in the past few months, and they will all also compete at the 2023 Dallas Open, which will be held at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas, Texas, United States from February 6th to 12th.
Reilly Opelka is the defending champion in Dallas and he was signed up for the event, but because he couldn't recover in time from an injury, he withdrew and won't defend his title.
But the draw is full of Americans that can entertain the home crowd and bring them the trophy. The first-seeded Taylor Fritz can meet his good friend Jack Sock already in the second round as former world no. 8 will take on Ilya Ivashka.
The second-seeded Frances Tiafoe will want to follow up on his recent success at the US Open, and he will try to do that already in the second round against Mackenzie McDonald or a qualifier.
Denis Shapovalov also signed up for the event, and he will meet Yibing Wu or Michael Mmoh in the second round. Players will fight for more than $700,000 in prize money, so be sure to check out the full distribution as well as the draw below.
