The 2023 Cinch Championships at the Queen's Club promises to be as exciting as ever and the draw plays a crucial role in that.
From June 19th to 25th, the players will try how it feels like competing in London before heading to the city for Wimbledon. Two-time defending champion is Matteo Berrettini and the Italian is back also in 2023 to defend his title.
But his comeback didn't start really well in Stuttgart, and Berrettini will want to forget that loss in a first-round match against Emil Ruusuvuori. Unfortunately for the Italian, quite early he may meet the first-seeded Carlos Alcaraz.
Similarly to the top seed in the Halle draw, the 20-year-old Spaniard will also start his journey against one of the qualifiers, with a possible second-round match against Jiri Lehecka or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who are both tricky opponents.
Frances Tiafoe, who is one match away from a Top 10 breakthrough, will also compete at the Queen's Club as the fourth-seeded American will start against Botic van de Zanschulp in the first round.
Milos Raonic recently made a triumphant comeback to tennis and the Canadian will play also in London. However, in his first-round match, he'll meet and opponent who stopped his comeback run as Jordan Thompson will stand in his way.
Possibly, the former world no. 3 may meet another player that he met in the two matches that he played so far in 2023, as the fifth-seeded Cameron Norrie will take on Miomir Kecmanovic, who Raonic beat in 's-Hertogenbosch, for a second-round spot.
Andy Murray is on an eight-match winning streak that may increase to ten before he lands in London. But there will be the seventh-seeded Alex de Minaur standing in his way, attempting to snap the streak in front of the Brit's home crowd.
Alongside Tiafoe, there will be some more Americans in the draw as Ben Shelton will start against a qualifier, the third-seeded Taylor Fritz will play against Bernabe Zapata Miralles, and the second-seeded Holger Rune will meet another of the players from the United States, Maxime Cressy.
