2023 Argentina Open Buenos Aires ATP Entry List - Alcaraz, Thiem, Norrie & more

The clay-court specialists will be happy to compete at the 2023 Argentina Open in Buenos Aires, as the entry list includes many players that prefer this surface.

Only one week before the ATP Tour visits Buenos Aires, another clay-court event, first of the season, is held in Cordoba. Many players that will play in Cordoba will also travel to Buenos Aires, but the main talking point of the event in the capital will be one particular player.

The youngest world no. 1 in the history of men's tennis, Carlos Alcaraz, will be the highest-seeded player at the event as he will return to tennis after an injury, that kept him out of the 2023 Australian Open.

Casper Ruud is the defending champion at the event, but unless he takes a wild-card, the Norwegian won't compete in 2023. On the other hand, the 2021 champion Diego Schwartzman as well as the 2018 winner Dominic Thiem will both compete in Buenos Aires.

Cameron Norrie, Lorenzo Musetti and Albert Ramos-Vinolas will also want to enter the clay-court season with a string of solid wins, and they will have a chance to do that in Argentina.

But Argentinian fans will be mostly eyeing their players. Diego Schwartzman, Francisco Cerundolo, Sebastian Baez, Pedro Cachin, and Federico Coria should all appear in Buenos Aires, with many more Argentinians possibly coming from the qualifying draw.
