With a star-studded entry list, the 2022 Korea Open will bring the ATP Tour back to Seoul from September 26 to October 2.
Since 1996, there hasn't been an ATP event in Seoul, but that will change this year. Many players desire to compete in this venue, and the 2022 Korea Open has a one-year license for this season. Alongside the ranking points, it offers also nice prize money to players competing in Seoul.
At the 2022 Korea Open in Seoul, Alexander Zverev, who hasn't competed since the 2022 Roland Garros, wanted to return to the tennis courts again, but eventually had to withdraw. Cameron Norrie, Taylor Fritz, and Casper Ruud, a two-time Grand Slam finalist in 2022 will also compete at the competition.
Winner of the tournament will earn 250 points for the ATP Rankings and more than $170,000 in prize money. The beaten finalist will get almost $100,000 and 150 points and for just getting into the second round, players will be awarded 20 points and $19,620.
