The 2022 Florence Open, which will take place from October 10 through the 16th and feature an intriguing draw, will provide Italian players the chance to demonstrate their skill set in front of the home fans.
The Florence Open makes a comeback to the ATP schedule with an ATP 250 event for the first time since 1994. On the indoor hard court in the Palazzo Wanny in Florence, the competition will be held. The highest-ranked player on the entry list, Jannik Sinner, withdrew from the event because of an injury, giving other Italians an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
After the Italian's withdrawal, Felix Auger-Aliassime is the top-seeded player and in the second round, the Canadian will meet Marton Fucsovics or Oscar Otte.
Fans in Florence will be happy to see likes of the third-seeded Lorenzo Musetti who can meet compatriot Lorenzo Sonego or Bernabe Zapata Miralles in the second round.
Alexander Bublik is the seventh-seeded and he will start against Cristian Garin as fans in Italy will also see an all-American first-round match between no. 6 Jenson Brooksby and Mackenzie McDonald.
Matteo Berrettini is the second-seeded player at the 2022 Florence Open and the biggest hope for home fans to see an Italian triumph at this ATP 250 event. He will start against Roberto Carballes Baena or Daniel Galan in the second round.
