Naomi Osaka created a hilarious situation when she slid out of a camera frame while watching a match at the 2022 Cincinnati Masters.
The Japanese player entered the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati with high hopes, however, her journey in the draw was cut short by Shuai Zhang, who proved better than Osaka in the opening round of the tournament.
The Chinese player overpowered the former world no. 1, winning 6-4, 7-5, and with a lot of free time after her exit, Osaka has decided to watch some of her colleagues battle it out on the tennis court.
One of the most interesting matches that the draw offered was the meeting between the 23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams, who Osaka met on the court before, and Emma Raducanu.
The tenth seed from Great Britain was hopeful of shocking the American legend in their first-ever meeting, and Osaka was there to witness the clash between the former and current star of women's tennis.
At one moment, Osaka was shown on the screen, and when she realized that, she slowly slid out of the shot while concealing her face with her hands. The scene created mass laughter in the stands, delaying play for a few moments.
Osaka is known as a quite shy person, so the moment, while funny for others, probably wan't so pleasant for her, but her reaction was certainly funny also for the Japanese player when she looks back at it.
For now, she will certainly focus more on improving her game. That will entertain tennis fans also when they see her on the court, rather than in the stands, and as a four-time Grand Slam champion and former world no. 1, she proved many times that she has what it takes to play and win the biggest matches.
