Bianca Andreescu struggled in the first round of the 2022 US Open although it was not the performance but outfit that troubled the Canadian.

The 22-years-old Canadian was on of the first Grand Slam champions to step on the court at the 2022 US Open and early in the tournament, Bianca Andreescu found out that her dress doesn't really suit her needs.

The 2019 US Open champion took on Harmony Tan, who defeated Serena Williams at the Wimbledon, in the first round of the event. Her performance was quite dominant when she won 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 in an hour and 42 minutes.

However, Bianca Andreescu struggled with her outfit. Asking the umpire to be able change it for something else, she said: "Can this not count as one of my change overs? Because it's not my fault, it's Nike's fault. This dress is so bad. I need to go, this is really bad."

She eventually changed to a tank top and shorts and it seems that that may be the winning outfit for the Canadian and it will be really interesting to see how she comes to the court in her second round match against Beatriz Haddad Maia.

Andreescu got asked about what happened also during her post-match press conference, when she said: "It was just bothering me on some forehands. I just felt like it was kinda coming up a bit. Obviously, the wind didn't help."

"I could have definitely used a different choice of wording. So I apologize to anyone I disrespected. I love Nike and I hope I can be with them until the rest of my life. And I definitely apologize," said Andreescu.
