"Thanks for the great schedule" - Sabalenka criticizes San Diego Open for unfair scheduling

The San Diego Open came under fire by Aryna Sabalenka who 'thanked' them for the way they organized her matches.

The Belarussian was slated to play in the first match after finishing her match very late the day before (08:30 pm local time) and it didn't help her. It's a trend that has been present in tennis for some time, as tennis reporter Jose Morgado also talked about it on Twitter.

Sabalenka posted a story on her social media showing the stats of her sleep demonstrating how she got less than six hours of sleep which is less than optimal for an athlete. The story was captioned with:

Indicating that she was not appreciative of it. It was evident that she wasn't happy about losing to Donna Vekic in the end, but it is still unclear how much the schedule affected her. It is far from ideal that the WTA and ATP were chastised for their handling of the situation many times over and it still happens.
