Sabalenka Reveals Why She Pretended To Smash Swiatek's Porsche

Aryna Sabalenka is competing at the 2023 Madrid Open and after her most recent win she was in a good mood as always.

It's almost impossible to see the 24-year-old Belarusian without a smile on her face as she always laughs and brings good energy wherever she moves. One of those places was also a post-match interview with Tennis Channel at the 2023 Madrid Open in which Sabalenka discussed many different things.

In the third round of the tournament, Sabalenka defeated Camila Osorio in two sets, but her next opponent will be a real challenge. The world no. 2 will take on only 16-year-old prodigy Mirra Andreeva, who showed that she's not afraid ahead of their clash.

But during her interview with Prakash Amritraj, Sabalenka got back to one moment that took place a few days ago at the 2023 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. For the third consecutive year, she lost in the final and that means that she didn't get a new Porsche that is awarded to the champion.

But still, during the trophy ceremony, Sabalenka was in a good mood, and at one point, she jokingly pretended to smash Swiatek's new Porsche. The footage quickly went viral and now the Belarusian explained what went through her head at that point.

"I'm like I don't know I think I'm going to destroy this Porsche and pay the money I don't care. (laughing)"

In a few days, Sabalenka will turn 25 and her age is also one of the things that she talked about during the interview as she feels that she's getting too old.

"I'm gonna cry all they long because I'm getting old. I remember myself being 20. Right now, I'm 25 and I'm afraid that the next time I wake up I will be 35 and then I'm done."
