Raducanu Needs To 'Trust Her Body' According To Robson

| by Sebastian Dahlman

Emma Raducanu is once again away from tennis due to a wrist injury but her compatriot Laura Robson is not worried about it.

Raducanu last played at the Sunshine Double despite suffering from a wrist injury. She did much better in Indian Wells than in Miami but overall it was a positive experience considering that she didn't play fully healthy at those events.

A return is scheduled for Stuttgart where she played a solid event last year. It's on clay so that will be a chance but she proved last year that clay can be a good surface for her because she can hit the ball really well.

I think if she's just able to get another couple of consistent weeks under her belt, then the belief will come and you start to trust your body a bit more and you start to then not worry about some small injuries because it's just part of being a tennis player.

Playing consistently is key to finding a good rhythm for Raducanu but she's not been able to do due to various injuries. As Robson said, it's something she'll have to learn with and the recent months have shown her to be capable of that.

Despite dealing with the wrist, Raducanu is at the LTA centre near Wimbledon practising on a tennis court. According to Robson, she is looking very good.

She's been on a practice court in the UK at Wimbledon and looks good, she looks really good.

In only her second season as a pro, Raducanu hopes to learn all the intricacies of being a tennis player and Robson certainly believes she can do it. Just pacing yourself in matches and practice takes a bit of time to learn.

But it's just finding the right balance on the training side of things, on the match court and tournament schedule side of things to make it work for the body because everyone is different, everyone requires different amount of matches as well.
