Emma Raducanu Parts Ways With Coach Sebastian Sachs

Emma Raducanu's coaching carousel continues as the Brit has now parted ways with coach Sebastian Sachs.

Emma Raducanu's career is a proper whirlwind as the Brit is currently away from the sport after undergoing triple surgery recently. She's set to possibly return to playing later this month in China but she won't be having Sebastian Sachs with her.

The Brit announced in a statement on social media that she parted ways with the German coach citing 'circumstances' as the reason why they parted ways. Her statement also wished the coach all the best moving forward.

I have really enjoyed Seb’s coaching and working with him, it’s unfortunate that circumstances made it unfeasible for both of us to continue right now and we have decided to part ways. I wish Seb all the best moving forwards. 🦾

It's unclear what these circumstances are and whether her repeated injuries might have played a factor in that because she's not going to play competitively for a while. Even though she's part of an exhibition in China later this month, Raducanu is unlikely to actually play on the courts.

On the other hand, she has made some curious coaching decisions in the past so this is nothing out of the ordinary for her. It will make a lot of people wonder what is really going on behind the scenes especially after her previous coach Tursunov alluded to some troubling things in her team.

It's been a tough year for Raducanu generally with numerous injuries and now a triple surgery that will keep her away from the sport for a while. There is no fixed return date but are assuming that the final quarter of the year seems likely for a return. She was last spotted in Mexico attending the Dior fashion show there with her boyfriend.
