Coco Gauff revealed her new signature sneakers at the Atlanta exhibition match held in Atlantic Station just one month ago.
The WTA Tour's sole active player with her own signature pair of New Balance Coco CG1 shoes is the American teen. She debuted the shoes during an exhibition match in Atlanta against Taylor Townsend. Roger Federer is the only other active player except Coco Gauff who has his own signature shoes.
When the young American wore the shoes for the first time back in July, she didn't hide her emotions when speaking about it, stating: "It's an absolute dream come true to be able to put my stamp on this sport with New Balance and hopefully inspire generations to come. I am really excited to see how people wear this shoe, on and off the court," Gauff said.
"Admittedly, I've been using it more often than ever before, so just a few attempts. I didn't want to overthink it and then it was up to the New Balance designers to incorporate it the right way and I love how it turned out. I hope other people do as well," Coco Gauff stated.
Now, we also know the date when her signature shoe will debut globally as it will be available in stores from the 26th of August 2022.
