2023 Libema Open 's-Hertogenbosch WTA Entry List - Andreescu, Badosa & more
The 2023 Libema Open is set to kick-off the grass-court season in style as it'll take place from June 12th to 18th as a WTA 250 event.
With defending champion Ekaterina Alexandrova having her mettle tested amidst an impressive entry list, the tournament promises plenty of exhilarating moments on the grass courts of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
Among the strong contenders, we have four players from the Top 20. Swiss powerhouse Belinda Bencic leads the pack, trailed by Russia's Veronika Kudermetova. Adding to the mix are Liudmila Samsonova and Victoria Azarenka, a two-time Grand Slam champion who has repeatedly shown her ability to take on the most intimidating opponents with flair.
Emerging Chinese talent Qinwen Zheng, Elise Mertens, and Petra Martic also join the ranks of favorites this year. Zheng, in particular, is a rising star to watch, showcasing excellent skills that hint at a promising career ahead.
The tournament also serves as a comeback platform for some of the game's notable names. Bianca Andreescu, the former US Open champion, and former world number two Paula Badosa, will both step onto the Dutch grass, looking to re-establish their dominance in the sport.
