With mixed event United Cup and WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide running at the same time, the ASB Classic in Auckland will return to the WTA calendar.
The event wasn't held since 2020 and similarly to the Adelaide International 1, it will be also held without a defending champion, who is Serena Williams. But there certainly won't be shortage of names that will be interesting to watch in Auckland.
World no. 7 in the WTA Rankings, Coco Gauff leads the field and she will be the biggest favourite to win the title at the 2023 ASB Classic. There will be a big share of American players joining the event as Sloane Stephens, Bernarda Pera, Madison Brengle, Lauren Davis and Catherine McNally will all take part.
Both 2021 US Open finalists will also travel to New Zealand as Leylah Fernandez will be one of the seeded players while Emma Raducanu will try to pave her way up the rankings.
While there isn't a big share of Top 30 players due to two more events being held simultaneously, the tournament still attracted some good players as you can see the full entry list below.
