WATCH: Zverev blasts reporter during press conference - "Can you at least look at me"

Alexander Zverev took exception to a reporter during his post-match press conference after beating Sebastian Baez at the 2022 Roland Garros, blasting him for using his phone while he was responding to a question.

The German has one of the best seasons in his career and is playing great tennis. He entered the 2022 Roland Garros as one of the favorites, and in the second-round match, he bested Sebastian Baez, the same player he also overcame two weeks earlier at the ATP 1000 tournament in Rome.

During a press conference following his victory over the Argentinian, Zverev confronted a journalist who was preoccupied with his phone rather than maintaining eye contact.

The incident happened as Zverev spoke about the role that social media plays in the career of an athlete. However, paradoxically, it was probably social media that kept one journalist busy while the player was answering the question.

As the German was trying his best to answer a question during a mandatory press conference, which many athletes would maybe want to avoid if they weren't mandatory, the press member was doing something on his phone, which quite obviously irritated Zverev, who immediately blasted the person.

"Can you at least look at me when I give you an answer? Because you asked me a question, and then you stand there with the phone."

It was a really bizarre moment that didn't make the third seed happy, but he finished the rest of the press conference without any major problems and could continue with his life, likely thinking about his third round at the 2022 French Open.

Up next, he will take on Brandon Nakashima from the United States, after the American outplayed Kamil Majchrzak from Poland and Tallon Griekspoor from the Netherlands to find himself in a fight for a second-week spot at the clay-court major.
