"That would probably be the most-watched match of all time" - Kyrgios on his meeting with Nadal at Wimbledon

Nick Kyrgios bested Cristian Garin comfortably in three sets to secure the 2022 Wimbledon Championships semi-final, in which he will face Rafael Nadal.

Nadal has been playing some throwback tennis at this year’s Wimbledon, making his way to the semi-final after a heroic win over Taylor Fritz in five sets. Another player who has been playing some throwback tennis is Kyrgios.

The Australian has been fantastic for much of this year, and Wimbledon isn't the exception. He loves the grass-court major in London, and it’s one of his most favorite tournaments.

It’s where he flashed his talent eight years ago by beating none other than Nadal. They played two matches so far at the event, with each player winning one.

This will be the third time they will play against each other at Wimbledon, and it promises to be another spectacle. Kyrgios has played like a player worthy of a final, as he’s been really good.

Nadal has played really strong as well. However, he dealt with some injury in the match against Fritz, which might impact him or severely limit his abilities.

On his part, at least, Kyrgios is excited to face Nadal again here because their battles have always been very good, and getting a chance to play on the Centre Court once more would be special.

"Yeah, obviously it would be pretty special to play Rafa here. We've had some absolute battles on that Centre Court. He's won one against me, and I've won one against him. Obviously, we know we are two completely different personalities."

Another thing he added was declaring the match as potentially the most-watched match of all time, which is a big statement, but it’s possible.

"I feel like we respect the hell out of each other. I feel like that would be a mouth-watering kind of encounter for everyone around the world. That would probably be the most-watched match of all time. I would argue that."
