Tsitsidosa is no more as Paula Badosa announced that she and Stefanos Tsitsipas decided to 'amicably part ways'.
After months spent on the throne, Tsitsipas and Badosa have amicably agreed to return the title of 'most famous tennis couple' to Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils.
Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur are another popular tennis couple, but after the recent announcement, there will be one less connection between ATP and WTA Tours.
Badosa and Tsitsipas had a pretty amazing launch in the public sphere with some cryptic messages online before they finally confirmed their relationship. It seemed amazing as they were quite open about how much they pushed each other forward.
While things have been going well off the court, both struggled on the court. Tsitsipas didn't play well for a long time, while the Spaniard struggled also with her health.
The Greek player has seen some sunshine lately, but things are not looking good for Badosa, who has had to swallow some bitter pills lately.
One of those is this one because her relationship with Tsitsipas is over. She announced the news on social media, explaining that they decided to part ways amicably.
"After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways. We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths."
"We are grateful for the support of our friends, family, and all who have been part of our story. As we transition into this new chapter of our lives, we continue to wish each other nothing but the best in all our endeavors. We kindly ask for privacy during this time, and we thank you for your understanding and respect."
