Former Polish Tennis Federation president Miroslaw Skrzypczynski claims that Iga Swiatek demanded money from the Federation to compete in Tokyo.

Following claims of numerous incidents of sexual abuse and other forms of abuse, Miroslaw Skrzypczynski gained some notoriety in tennis circles and further. He was accused of abusing a Polish MP sexually when she was 13 by which shocked the nation and shook the Federation.

He resigned from his position in the Federation because she felt compelled to speak out about the issue. Hurkacz joined her in calling for action. He now appears to be taking revenge by providing some "dirt" on Swiatek.

"We had a plan before the Olympics in Tokyo but Iga Swiatek and Lukasz Kubot came and said: 'President, everything is fine, but who will pay us for it.' We are going to those tournaments where money is waiting for us, because we have to live."

He continued:

"The plan broke down because we didn't get the money to prepare. We are unable to tell Iga and give her 1.5 million PLN for preparations. Then athletes come to the Olympics and treat them as if they came because they had to."

After those reports, Swiatek commented to Sport.pl saying that his accusation is untrue and it never happened.
