Jannik Sinner keeps winning, and that's true also after his match against Jan Lennard Struff at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters.
Words can't describe how unbeatable the 22-year-old Italian looks on the tennis court in 2024. Carlos Alcaraz managed to beat him in Indian Wells, which has looked like his backyard tournament in the past two seasons, but other than that, no one got even close to threatening Sinner.
In the third round of the season's first clay-court ATP Masters 1000 tournament, the Italian player took on Jan Lennard Struff, who had success at the tournament in the past, but running into the second seed this year looked like an unsolvable puzzle.
In the first set, however, the German showed his qualities when after losing his serve in the third game, he immediately broke back to stay competitive in the first part of the match.
But then in the ninth game, he lost a 30-15 lead and that was a crucial moment, as Sinner uses chances when he gets them, and the same applied also in this match, as he broke his opponent's serve and won the opening set of the match 6-4.
In the second set, the second seed was much more dominant. He lost only four points on his serve, and on three of his opponent's four service games, he had break points.
He used two of those, and because of that, it was a relatively simple cruise towards the finish line, as Sinner won the match in two simple sets 6-4 and 6-2 to book the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters quarter-final.
Up next, he will need to keep the level high. His quarter-final opponent will be winner of the match between Holger Rune and Grigor Dimitrov. While the young Dane is a fellow talented youngster, the Bulgarian player is an experienced veteran who is having his best season since 2017.
