Today on social media, Novak Djokovic acknowledged what has been known for weeks. He won't be competing at the 2022 US Open because he cannot lawfully enter the country as a foreign national without the required vaccination. Djokovic has been aware of this for a number of weeks, but he still held out hope that things will change despite the ongoing pandemic.
Djokovic thanked many of his fans for the support on social media writing:
