The 21-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal is doing everything he can to give everyone in the world a chance to play the beautiful game of tennis, this time his academy will be launched in Hong Kong.
Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal are great champions and great people. They are all known for their contributions to the society and various donations via their foundations. Most recently, Federer has donated 3000 tablets to children in Malawi, and he's not the only one trying to help.
A help doesn't always need to be charitable, it can be also passing along the knowledge, and that's what the Spanish King of Clay is doing. He has his own tennis academy and tennis centers in various locations, where he teaches an upcoming generation of players.
Nadal has his main academy in Mallorca and one more academy, which is located in Kuwait. Moreover, he has two tennis centers in Costa Mujeres in Mexico and on the Halkidiki peninsula in Greece.
Now, the Spaniard is opening the third tennis center, which will be located in Hong Kong. Rafael Nadal commented on the opening of the new tennis center when he said:
"We’re very excited about this new international project in Hong Kong. Since the academy opened in Mallorca 5 years ago, we have always been interested in expanding our methodology to other countries in order to reach as many people as possible."
For Nadal, it marks another significant moment in his career, as he'll have a chance to pass his knowledge to even more kids, and grow the sport that he loves even more.
"To us, having trusted members is essential and therefore I would like to thank the HKGTA for their great confidence in the project. The facilities are spectacular and we’ll have great coaches at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre. I’m sure it will be a success and that, bit by bit, we’ll be able to continue our international expansion.”
