Rafa Nadal Academy rebranded to match his "iconic and unorthodox identity"

| by Zachary Wimer

Rafa Nadal Academy celebrated its sixth anniversary and as a celebration it was rebranded to symbolize the iconic bite of Rafael Nadal.

The Rafa Nadal Academy now features top-notch sporting facilities so that all athletes, young and old, can benefit from an all-encompassing experience. The Academy contains 45 tennis courts, 17 paddle tennis courts, 3 swimming pools, and a medical facility with areas for physical conditioning, physiotherapy, psychology, nutrition, and sports medicine after its expansion.

The rebranding was handled by Interbrand, the largest brand consultancy in the world, and its Executive Director Borja Borrero said:

"The new image of the Rafa Nadal Academy is based on the identity of Rafael Nadal himself in its most competitive aspect. It is a challenging, vibrant, iconic and unorthodox new brand DNA. To do this, Interbrand has created a new visual expression inspired by the energy that emanates the player on the court," said Borrero.

"To develop this corporate identity, a new wordmark has been developed in which Rafa's characteristic "bite" highlights the trophies. The chosen colors make up a vibrant and energetic palette that is inspired by its iconic kits. The strength and dynamism of their game inspire the visual code in communications, endozing them with angularity, forcefulness and spontaneity."

"This renewed image comes to highlight the "new" Academy and marks a milestone on the 6th anniversary of its inauguration. The result is a new staging that projects the brand into the future, making it more relevant and inspiring to all types of audiences."
