Benoit Paire, who has been on the ATP Tour since 2006 announced that he appointed a coach again and that he's ready to compete in 2023 again.
In 2019, he had a successful year, finishing as the world No. 24 and winning 42 matches and two titles. However, since then, he has struggled with mental health problems and has not won any titles, winning only 40 matches over the past three seasons.
Despite these struggles, Paire recently announced that he is determined to return to the top of the sport and has appointed a new coach to help him achieve this goal. He has stated that his mental health problems have been a major obstacle for him and that he is working hard to overcome them.
Paire has always been known for his attacking style of play and his impressive shot-making abilities. In addition to his technical skills, the Frenchman is also known for his passionate and emotional on-court demeanour, which has both helped and hindered him throughout his career.
While Paire has had some ups and downs over the past few years, he is a seasoned veteran on the ATP Tour and has the talent and experience to make a comeback. It will not be an easy task, as the competition in men's tennis is as fierce as ever, but Paire is clearly determined to give it his all and make a return to the top of the sport.
"I did 2 crappy years on the tourm lost the passion for the sport and when motivation is gone it’s impossible to win games!! I have an injury that prevents me from preparing as I wish but I hope to be on the mend for the start of the new season!!" he said in a statement.
"My goal will be to find the fun again and I know that if the fun is there then I will find a correct ranking again!! Because yes my ranking is bad and it makes me sad not to start the year with the tournaments I love but I deserve this!!! So it's up to me to hang on and come back as soon as possible!!! Thank you again for all your support. PS: I'm also happy to announce that I've found a coach."
