The friendship between Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic seems to get stronger every week as the new announcement surprised the tennis world.
Two players that didn't seem to get along well only a few years ago became very good friends when Kyrgios supported Djokovic during his deportation saga. Then, they met in the Wimbledon final, further strengthening their relationship. Now, it seems that they will play doubles together.
Previously, the Australian supported the participation of the 21-time Grand Slam champion at the first major of the season when he said: "I think Novak needs to be playing at all costs. He's one of the greatest of all time and as long as he's going to be playing and hanging around, we need him at these tournaments."
And it seems that their friendship will got even further on the tennis courts. When asked by one of the fans if the Nov-ick bromance mode is 'on', the 2022 Wimbledon finalist responded:
"If Novak is allowed in the USA we are playing doubles at Indian Wells. Y'all ready?" Kyrgios wrote on his Instagram Story.
Both Kyrgios and Djokovic played doubles in 2022 as the Australian even made it to the ATP Finals. On the other hand, the Serbian doesn't often appear on the doubles court but he makes an exception when he plays with friends. Certainly, tennis fans can't wait to see what will happen at the 2023 Indian Wells.
