Kamil Majchrzak, a Polish professional tennis player, has been suspended by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) after failing a doping test.

The ITIA announced the suspension on Friday, stating that Majchrzak had tested positive for SARM S-22, a metabolite of LGD-4033, and a metabolites of a PPARδ agonist in samples collected in-competition at the Sofia Open in September, Japan Open in October and the Seoul Challenger in October.

Majchrzak, who is ranked No. 78 in the world, has been provisionally banned from participating in any ATP Tour, ATP Challenger Tour, or ITF events. The 25-year-old player has denied any wrongdoing and has the right to appeal the decision.

This suspension is a blow to Majchrzak's career, as he will not be able to compete in any professional tournaments for some time. It also serves as a reminder to all players to be careful about what substances they put into their bodies and to always check with the ITIA before using any medication or supplements as former world no. 1, Simona Halep is going through a similar process at the moment.

The ITIA will continue to monitor Majchrzak's case and will take further action if necessary.

The statement from ITIA reads: "The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) confirms that Kamil Majchrzak, a 26-year-old Polish tennis player, has been provisionally suspended under Article 7.12.1 of the 2022 Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (TADP)."

"The ITIA sent the player a pre-Charge Notice of an Anti-Doping Rule Violation on 30 November 2022 under Article 2.1 of the Programme (presence of a Prohibited Substance in a Player’s Sample) and/or Article 2.2 (Use of a Prohibited Substance without a valid TUE)."

Majchrzak also released a personal statement, in which he stated: "I have some incredibly sad and difficult news to share with everyone. I have tested positive in anti-doping controls during October and November 2022. Firstly, I have never, ever, knowingly taken any banned substance."

"At this moment I have no idea what has happened and this is the biggest shock. I have started the most difficult fight of my life -- the fight to prove my innocence and to return to the sport I love."
