"Djokovic probably end up GOAT so he deserves more respect" - says Robson

Former British number one Laura Robson thinks Novak Djokovic will end up being the greatest of all time and that he needs more respect.

Laura Robson is a former British player who rose to number 27 at one time but is now retired from covering tennis matches and she has a chance to cover and watch Novak Djokovic. As a former tennis player Robson has a lot of respect for Djokovic and that's pretty much universal across the spectrum.

Many of his peers respect him greatly yet fans are a bit iffier on the subject. He's never had the adoration and respect of Federer and Nadal and it's mostly due to his outspoken personality that you either like or don't like.

Speaking to tennis 365 Robson mentioend Djokovic explaining that his fan following is quite large:

“I think he has got a huge amount of fans. Every time I commentate on one of his matches, my Twitter blows up because there are so many people who are die-hard fans of his. They are committed."

"I do feel like he has a lot of fans. Compared to Nadal and Federer, they might not be as vocal in stadiums, but people just know them better from years and years of watching them."

Robson further added that she thinks he'll ultimately end up being the greatest tennis player of all time but also one that did not get the respect he deserves.

I feel Djokovic gets a lot of credit. He is probably going to end up as the greatest of all-time, so he deserves a lot more respect.
