The full rosters for the upcoming Laver Cup in Vancouver are set as Arthur Fils and Christopher Eubanks will be the alternates for Team Europe and Team World, respectively.
This year's Laver Cup edition doesn't have the star power of last year's, but that's to be expected. It's very hard to replicate last year's edition because Roger Federer can only retire from tennis once, and it happened last year in London.
When it comes to Vancouver, we have some solid players as the teams are not entirely devoided of any talent and we know now what the full teams will be like. Christopher Eubanks will be the alternate for Team World after a sensational summer.
The Wimbledon breakout player joins a team already filled with Americans in the hopes of keeping the trophy with Team World. Besides Eubanks, Team World will be represented by Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime, Ben Shelton, and Francisco Cerundolo from Argentina.
There is power there, so don't expect Team World to be overwhelmed easily, as last year's edition proved. Team Europe dominated this competition in the first few years and will see rising French star Arthur Fils join its ranks as an alternate.
The European team consists of Holger Rune, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud, Hubert Hurkacz and Gael Monfils. It's not the strongest Team Europe team, but they will have the help of Roger Federer, who is expected to be present as he is every year.
Team World won last year, so expect a motivated Team Europe hoping to get back at Team World on their home event. Having four players ranked inside the Top 10 makes them a formidable team, even if they're missing some of the star power from last year. The event will run from September 24th till the 26th.
