Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal won't play at the Davis Cup Finals but Pablo Carreno Busta is confident in his teammates.
Given that the remainder of the Spanish team is made up of excellent players, Pablo Carreno Busta feels confident in their abilities. Along with him, Roberto Bautista Agut Albert Ramos, Pedro Martinez, and Marcel Granollers will be present.
They face Croatia and should count on the local support of the Spanish fans in Malaga.
"The Davis Cup is different because you play for the team. It has nothing to do with the circuit. It is true that Alcaraz and Nadal are not there, but we have a good team, and we will do our best to win the title," said Carreno Busta ahead of the clash.
A lot is expected from Carreno Busta as the top name in the squad but he'd prefer if he was the 3rd best player because the team would have better chances to win:
"It's nice to be number one, but I would prefer to be number three if Carlos and Rafa were there because we would be stronger. In any case, I feel ready. Both me and Roberto have already played many qualifiers".
