WTA star Coco Gauff unveiled the new line of sneakers released by New Balance, who collaborated with Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) to introduce new colorways to the shoes.
Gauff, arguably New Balance's prized asset, endorsed the latest design, which was an original shoe from 1982, and which returns to the shelves thanks to the help of Teddy Santis. As stated on the ALD website, this latest collaboration with New Balance is meant to give new life to the tennis performance shoe.
The retro shoe is manufactured in premium white leather and will come with three of its signature colorways, accentuated on the 'N' letter of the logo and the heel collar, in either red, green, or black. The T500 shoes, in which Gauff is spotted wearing in the promoting them, have hit the online shop on New Balance and Aime Leon Dore.
Gauff is one of the most marketable young athletes in the world. The American star signed a multi-year deal with the apparel company when she was in her early teens, and in 2022, announced her debut sneakers called the New Coco CG1, becoming one of the very rare sportswomen to design her own shoes.
The 19-year-old has put together the best season of her career, winning three titles during the US swing, including her maiden Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open. She became the youngest American player to win the New York Slam since Serena Williams did so in 1999.
Gauff vaulted to a new career-high ranking of No. 3, becoming the highest-ranked American player across both tours at this present time, and has now crossed the $10 million mark in career prize money.
Gauff has also made a fortune away from the tennis courts, thanks to her massive sponsorship deals with the likes of New Balance, Barillas, Baker Tilly, and Swiss watch designer company Rolex.
