The 2023 Upper Austria Ladies Linz Open is one of the WTA 250 events in the WTA calendar and it's held from February 6th until 12th in Austria.
In the past, the event saw a lot of different winners, which include Ana Ivanovic, Maria Sharapova, Justine Henin, Lindsay Davenport, but also Coco Gauff, Camila Giorgi, and Aryna Sabalenka. The event wasn't held in 2022, and so the last champion is Alison Riske-Amritraj, who won in 2021.
In 2023, only one former champion will make an appearance in Linz as Camila Giorgi is set to compete at the event. However, the highest-ranked player on the entry list, is Maria Sakkari, who should be the top-seed at the event.
She will be followed by Ekaterina Alexandrova, Irina-Camelia Begu, and Petra Martic, who should all occupy seeded spots. Anhelina Kalinina, Bernarda Pera, Donna Vekic and Anastasia Potapova will all play in Austria too.
The event will be attended also by young Czech talent Linda Noskova, who is the second highest-ranked teenager on the WTA Tour, behind the 2019 champion Coco Gauff.
