"When he plays, he wins" - Sinner's coach on Djokovic being player to beat in 2023

Jannik Sinner's coach Simone Vagnozzi firmly believes Djokovic is the player to beat in 2023 as he prepares Sinner for the challenge.

Sinner played a fantastic match against Djokovic at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships coming pretty close to beating him. To be able to do that, the Italian needs to improve and his coach knows that better than anyone.

"Novak Djokovic is still the strongest," said Vagnozzi. "Although he has played less than the others, this year he won the ATP Finals and Wimbledon, although in the latter they did not give points. When he gets a chance to play, most of the time he wins."

Empirical evidence would support Vagnozzi's words as Djokovic did well in pretty much most events he participated in.
