"We never were fighting, he was upset he lost" - Kyrgios on his relationship with Tsitsipas

Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas enjoyed a heated clash at this year's Wimbledon and it seems that also months later, their match can't be forgotten.

Only a few weeks ago, the Greek challenged his Wimbledon opponent to a "revenge match" that the Australian quickly accepted, but there was no response from Tsitsipas since then. During a recent interview, Tsitsipas' mom also spoke about what happened in the All England Club, when she said:

"Could have played better, of course. Our [Wimbledon] match turned out to be very nervous with Nick Kyrgios. That is, we were practically offered to play dirty tennis there, but we don’t know how to play such tennis," explained Apostoli in a talk with Russian publication Championat.

"Therefore, Styopa [Tsitsipas' nickname] lost his temper and left the court without getting there. The only person, perhaps, who brings him into a state of complete confusion is Nick Kyrgios.

Kyrgios also remembers their clash very well as he got asked about the Greek during a recent Q&A on his Instagram. One of the fans wanted to know if the Australian and Tsitsipas are "still fighting", to what he replied: "We never were fighting, he was upset he lost"
