WATCH: Rafael Nadal arrives to New York and practices at Arthur Ashe Stadium

Despite losing in his first match in Cincinnati, Rafael Nadal is focused on preparation for the 2022 US Open and practiced already at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The 36-years-old Spaniard is still unbeaten at Grand Slam tournaments this season when he lifted titles at the Australian Open and Roland Garros and later withdrew from the Wimbledon. Therefore, Rafael Nadal will try to continue his great Grand Slam run in 2022 and add third title also at the US Open.

And he made sure he will maximize his chances of doing that by arriving to the Flushing Meadows earlier than majority of the players. Rafael Nadal already enjoyed his first practice at the Arthur Ashe Stadium and it seemed that he had a lot of fun despite his early exit at the previous ATP 1000 event.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion also became the first player to qualify for the 2022 ATP Finals and if he does well also at the fourth Grand Slam of the season, he can finish the year as world number 1 for the first time since 2019.
