World number 1, Novak Djokovic, is the biggest favorite to win the 2022 Serbia Open, but his focus is elsewhere as the Serbian prepares for the Roland Garros, where he will try to win his 21st Grand Slam title.

The 2022 Serbia Open is played at Novak Tennis Center in Belgrade, and Novak Djokovic uses every second to spend time on the courts with the best opponents that arrived at the tournament. In the past few days, Djokovic practiced with Dominic Thiem and Aslan Karatsev.

After failing to win his opening match at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters, Djokovic will try to do everything possible to get as many matches as possible ahead of the 2022 Roland Garros, as he has already confirmed that he will play the Madrid Open and Italian Open.

During the 2023 Serbia Open Belgrade, he even postponed his press conference ahead of the tournament because of the practice. When he met the press for the press conference later, the Serbian superstar explained his absence.

"I’m sorry about that. I had four practices - twice fitness, twice tennis - so I was really tired. I need all the matches I can get here in order to prepare even better for Roland Garros."

The Serbian said that he had four practice sessions, two of which were fitness sessions and two tennis practices. He said that he was tired and admitted that all that he does is in order to prepare for the 2022 Roland Garros.

The second Grand Slam tournament of the season will serve as the direct showdown for another major title between the Serbian and Rafael Nadal.

Neither of the players had an ideal preparation, but that's what legends like them do: win even without being at their best. In Paris, they will once again get a chance to prove that.
