Holger Rune wins his first match since sensational Paris triumph

Holger Rune secured his spot in the final of the 2022 Open Markal Bourg-de-Péage, an exhibition tournament held in the Rhône-Alpes region of France, by defeating Alexander Bublik in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

Rune, a young and promising player from Denmark, showed his dominance on the court throughout the match, breaking Bublik's serve on multiple occasions and consistently putting pressure on the Kazakh player with his powerful groundstrokes.

Despite putting up a fight, Bublik was unable to match Rune's intensity, ultimately succumbing to the Danish player's superior play. With this victory, the 2022 Paris Masters champion sets up a highly anticipated final against Australian Alex de Minaur, who defeated another up-and-coming player, Gabriel Debru, in the other semifinal.
