Alcaraz Keeps His Lead In Most Titles Won In 2023 Despite Shanghai Loss

Carlos Alcaraz had high hopes for his stay in China, but he's going to leave without a trophy and remain in the lead with the most titles won in 2023.

If you recap the year Carlos Alcaraz had, you kind of have a feeling that he didn't do that good, which is crazy because he won Wimbledon and a couple of other trophies. It's because his potential is so amazing that even an incredible year like this feels like a disappointment because he could have won a couple of more trophies.

Yet, even with his 'disappointing year, ' Alcaraz leads the ATP Tour with the most titles won. It's a great way to show how high the expectations are when it comes to him, but he's not dominating in this stat, to be fair. Other players won almost equally, such as Djokovic, who only has one trophy less.

Alcaraz currently sits at six trophies, which is the most, and it's a stat he can improve upon if he wins one of the remaining ones in his schedule. Djokovic is second with five trophies, and he could technically finish as number one in this stat jointly with Alcaraz if he wins one.

The 3rd player on this list is Daniil Medvedev, with 5 trophies, with Jannik Sinner coming in at number 4 with three trophies. It will be interesting to see which players finish at the top as both Medvedev and Djokovic have a decent shot due to being very good indoor players.

Alcaraz hasn't had that much success indoors so far, but he's certainly capable of winning a trophy in one of the three events he'll play. If he does, he will likely finish with the most trophies this year. This is already his career best, as his previous best came last year with 5 trophies.

He also lost two finals this year so there is that as well.
