Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas joked on social media that their relationship is a result of Netflix paying them to be together.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa are the highest-profile tennis couple on the Tour right now. It's been a thing for a while now, as they confirmed their relationship right around the end of Roland Garros. They've been quite open with it since then, as Tsitsipas explained that he finds it something natural.
One of those things they're quite open about is just showing themselves openly on social media as they did a live on Instagram where they responded to some questions. One of those questions was about their relationship, and the duo joked about a conspiracy created by fans, that their relationship is paid by Netflix to boost the Break Point show they have.
It's because of Netflix
Tsitsipas further jokingly explained that they are only dating because Netflix is paying them a lot of money. He further thanked the company for giving them this opportunity and with even more sarcasm confirmed that the relationship would end once the show was over.
Netflix yeah, is paying us so much money to just be together and pretend like we're a couple so Netflix has definately enabled this and made it possible to thank you so much for giving us this opportunity. Of course after the show is over this whole thing is not a thing anymore.
The duo are now vacationing together as they will quickly return to preparations for the upcoming North American stretch. It's a big one for both, as Tsitsipas wants to leave some bad performances behind while Badosa needs to find a way to stay healthy.
She's been dealing with a lot of injury issues this year, barely playing any events, and also the 2023 Wimbledon finished with a retirement for the Spaniard.
