2024 Indian Wells Open WTA Draw With Swiatek, Sabalenka, Rybakina, Gauff & More

| by Erik Virostko

The 2024 Indian Wells Open will be played between March 6th and 17th, and the WTA draw promises a lot of exciting action once again.

Last year, fans in Indian Wells saw one of the best possible final matches, as Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka met in the final. Rybakina was able to overpower her opponent, and both will be back in 2024.

However, the top seed in Indian Wells is no other than the world no. 1, Iga Swiatek, who won the Qatar Open and then lost in the Dubai Championships semifinals, coming to the United States with relatively good form.

The first 32 seeded players have a bye in the first round, so the Pole will naturally start in the second round, facing difficult opposition as she'll take on either a qualifier or Danielle Collins.

Coco Gauff will be the home crowd favorite in Indian Wells, and the 19-year-old American will play her last tournament as a teenager. Her first test at the tournament will be the winner of the match between Xi Wang and Clara Burel.

But all eyes will certainly be on last year's finalist, and defending champion, Elena Rybakina, got a very difficult draw, taking on the winner of the match between Ashlyn Krueger and former world no. 2 and Indian Wells champion, Paula Badosa, in the second round.

Aryna Sabalenka, on the other hand, will start her 2024 Indian Wells Open campaign against either Elisabetta Cocciaretto or Peyton Stearns.

While seeded players found out who their possible second-round opponents may be, there are also many exciting first-round clashes.

Sofia Kenin will begin against Viktoriya Tomova, former world no. 1, Caroline Wozniacki will take on Lin Zhu, and another former world no. 1, Karolina Pliskova will play against Anna Blinkova.
