Before heading to the United States for Sunshine Doubles, WTA players have a chance to showcase their qualities at the 2023 Monterrey Open.

The draw includes many names that are capable of winning big matches and the fight for the 2023 Monterrey Open crown should be very interesting. The tournament will take place at the Club Sonoma in Monterrey, Mexico from February 27th to March 5th.

The first-seeded player and the biggest favorite to win the event is Caroline Garcia. The French player lost the last two matches that she played in Doha and Dubai, and she will want to get back to winning ways against Kaja Juvan in the first round.

The second-seeded Marie Bouzkova wasn't supposed to play in Monterrey, but she received a wild card and accepted it to become also one of the favourites. The Czech player will start against Anna Karolina Schmiedlova.

Camila Giorgi, who had a very good week in Merida, will want to succeed in another Mexican event, and she will start against one of the qualifiers. If she succeeds, she'll meet winner of the match between Elise Mertens and Diana Shnaider in the second round.
