The father of Stefanos Tsitsipas echoed his son's words about inspiring new generations to take up tennis in a recent talk.
In spite of travelling the globe with his son, Apostolos never tires of watching his son play or tennis in general. From a country where tennis is not as well-liked as other sports like football and basketball, Apostolos shares his son's desire to change that. Tsitsipas, a former player himself, wrote a lengthy Facebook post summarizing his son's year.
"Dear fans, tennis players and sponsors. I would like to express my gratitude for your support and helpful comments during this year.
There are certainly improvements to be made and we are open to continuing to grow. We are working to offer better tennis and inspiration to all those who love tennis and life itself. We are happy that you are supporting us on this path, with your passion and your love for what you do, which does not go unnoticed.
Thank you for helping us thrive in our craft and pursue our dreams with a team of committed and hardworking people who are at our disposal whenever we need them. Let's fasten our seat belts and fly to 2023 higher and more stable.
