Novak Djokovic had a bit more trouble today in Melbourne and he admitted that he felt sharper pain in his leg.
Djokovic had to contend with a French opponent who was quite tricky and frequently used the forehand and serve to attack him. Fans were unsure if he was feeling like himself because he didn't look too comfortable on the court.
To be honest it’s not good at all. It was better last match, the feeling, than tonight. That’s all I can say now. It’s really up to God to help me – and the physio! Let’s take it day by day. I hope I’ll be able to recover and be ready for a tough match-up next match.
Speaking further in the press conference Djokovic admitted that he was worried about it but he can only try and do as much as he can. Ultimately what happens will depend on factors that are not under his direct control.
I am worried. I mean, I cannot say that I’m not. I have reason to be worried. But at the same time I have to accept the circumstances and try to adjust myself with my team. My physio and medical team has been doing everything possible so that I can be able to play every match.
