Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock teamed up to beat Roger Federer in the last match of his professional career and many fans thought it was inappropriate.

The American duo earned a very important point for Team World, which went on to win the competition after Frances Tiafoe stunned Stefanos Tsitsipas, as they beat the Swiss Maestro in his last match. While many fans expected Tiafoe and Sock to hand the victory to their opponents, it certainly wasn't on their mind.

Team World players wanted to show respect to Federer by playing their best tennis against the 20-time Grand Slam champion and showing that despite his age, he's still a valuable competitor. Tiafoe was also asked if he's going to apologize to the Swiss Maestro, but his answer was very clear.

"Absolutely not. I want to see him lit, but I'm not going to apologize to him. He's got a lot to apologize after the last 24 years after beating everybody on the tour," said Tiafoe.

"No, I won't apologize, but I will say thank you for having me in this amazing event, you know, what he's done for the game, also say thank you for what he did for the game. He's a class act. Happy to know him, happy to call him friend, happy to call him a colleague, and best wishes in his second act. But I will not apologize," emphasised Tiafoe.
