Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud started their exhibition tour at Mary Terán de Weiss Stadium in Buenos Aires.

After the ATP season ended, world no. 2 and no. 3 in the ATP Rankings started their exhibition tour in South America. First, they played a singles match and then teamed up with former Argentinian legends in a mixed doubles match.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion ended his four-match losing streak against the young Norwegian last week at the 2022 ATP Finals in Turin. Although at an exhibition event, he wanted to follow up with another win also in Argentina.

And that's exactly what the Spaniard did. After a very close first set which was decided in a tie-break that ended 10-8 for Nadal, he dominated in the second set to win the match 7-6(8), 6-2.

After that, Nadal teamed up with 1990 US Open champion and former world no. 3 Gabriela Sabatini as Ruud stepped up on the court with former doubles world no. 1 and 2011 Australian Open doubles champion Gisela Dulko.

The mixed doubles match offered only one set to fans in Buenos Aires but it was certainly one to remember as the more experienced duo defeated Ruud and Dulko 6-4.
