"Nadal still favourite for Roland Garros" - believes Boris Becker

Boris Becker believes that Rafael Nadal is still the favourite for Roland Garros despite his injury issues continuing to keep him away from a court.

Nadal hasn't been on a tennis court in a competitive format since the Australian Open due to the injury he suffered there. He is unlikely to return until the clay season and it's all with a clear goal of winning Roland Garros. Djokovic has the same goal but Becker sees the Spaniard as the likelier champion.

I personally don’t think Novak is thinking about the golden slam. I think he wants to win the 23rd major of his career, which would be the record. The next major is Roland-Garros where, in my eyes, the favourite still is Rafael Nadal.

Djokovic has been utterly impressive this year, a thing that didn't escape Becker. He wants to see them play at Roland Garros because he knows it would be a spectacle. We've seen in the past three Roland Garros events and all but one were very good matches.

But Novak is on his heels. So let’s see what these two great champions will deliver for us.
