Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev have been making waves in the 2023 Dubai Tennis Championships and they are set to meet in the final.

While their on-court performances have been impressive, it's their off-court mentions that have garnered attention lately. In a recent Twitter post, Medvedev shared a childhood photo of himself and Rublev, holding trophies from their junior days. The picture was a throwback to a time when the two were just starting their tennis journeys and long before they became top-ranked players.

In the photo, both Medvedev and Rublev are holding trophies, but their faces suggest that they weren't exactly thrilled with their achievements. Medvedev's caption added a bit of humor to the picture, indicating that there may have been some friendly rivalry between the two as kids. However, what made this post truly interesting was that it turned out to be a fake.

"Even as kids we were suppperrrr excited to play each other."

The photo that Medvedev posted was an edit made by a fan, who combined two different photos of the players to create the illusion that they were standing side-by-side holding trophies. Despite the photo being fake, it still managed to fool the internet, and people couldn't stop laughing at the players' serious expressions.

It wasn't just Medvedev who was fooled by the image. Fellow colleagues from the ATP and WTA Tour reacted to the picture. Denis Shapovalov just laughed, while Bianca Andreescu wrote: "Loool this is so good." Coco Gauff, who was aware of the picture being photoshopped, wrote: "You fooled me. This is gold."
