The actions of Frances Tiafoe are still gathering criticism on social media and more tennis people are jumping to the defence of the American.

Throughout the Laver Cup, Tiafoe has done a number of things that have enraged different fan bases. Since he defeated Federer in his final career match, aimed a return at both Federer and Nadal, and teased Tsitsipas during their match, he was accused of rudeness by many.

"No, you have tried telling pro tennis players (me, retired but a former World No. 1 doubles player), what is acceptable, possible, easy or hard in a pro tennis match. It’s hilarious."

"So if you’re going to write nonsense about tennis, we will correct it and you." wrote Stubbs in response to fans suggesting what is acceptable and what is not acceptable in the sport.

She is the latest person to defend Tiafoe for his actions with fellow American Opelka doing the same. Stubbs also backed Opelka in his claim that the fan never played tennis and doesn't understand the game at all: "Your comments overall have proved that you’ve actually never played tennis at a high level. Ever! Especially doubles! Dear lord. Just stop!"
