After being called out by a fan for being rude to his mother and telling her to leave the court, Holger Rune responded clarifying the situation.

Earlier this year, Rune drew criticism for making his mother leave the court during a late-night match at Roland Garros. Since then, he has brought up the incident a few times, always insisting that he did not treat his mother badly or tell her to leave.

In order to help him win the match, his mother reportedly carried out the act on her own. That was the explanation she gave the media after the match. A fan again called him out on the problem when he recently posted something on Twitter, and he answered again.

"No my dear. I never am or will be rude to my mother. If you are referring to roland garros she was not the one I asked to leave and I told the press after but gossip lives forever."

Whatever the explanation is, the microphones on the court did pick up Rune yelling 'Forlade' to his box which means leave in Danish.
