"I don’t walk on court like I'm no. 1 of the tournament" - Rune dismisses pressure talks

Holger Rune lost in his semifinal match at the 2023 Montpellier Open and he talked about his performance afterward.

The first-seeded Dane lost in three sets, as two of those reached a tie-break. His tall opponent was making good use of his serve, hitting 15 aces during the match. Rune couldn't find any answers to that type of serving and he admitted that that's what cost him the match.

"It was a close match but I didn’t return well against him today. And if you’re not returning well against a player like him, it’s complicated."

Rune was the first-seeded player at the event and he was considered to be a big favourite to win it. However, he was stopped shortly before meeting the second-seeded Jannik Sinner in the final and after the match, he also spoke about the pressure of being the top seed.
