Alcaraz Reacts To Recording His Milestone 200th Career Win

| by Zachary Wimer

Carlos Alcaraz is one of the most electric tennis players that emerged on the ATP Tour in recent years, and the milestones he has achieved so far in his career prove that.

The list of Alcaraz's achievements in his still somewhat young career is incredible. He's still only 21 years old, but even now, he's up to four Grand Slams after winning the Roland Garros and Wimbledon earlier this year.

He is also the youngest man to become the World No. 1 player. On top of that, he's also just one of the most exciting tennis players. Those are the words of Mats Wilander, who is a big admirer of the young Spaniard.

Novak Djokovic was also very glad about Alcaraz's breakthrough because now he knows that tennis is in good hands. The list of people who are huge fans of what he's been able to do is too large, but it shows that he's truly special.

He added to his long list of achievements by winning his 200th career match at the 2024 China Open in Beijing. It was a win in style over Tallon Griekspoor as the Spaniard left no room for any wonder as to who would win the match.

After the match, he was asked about the achievement, and he was very happy to get to that number, but obviously, the goal is to get to many more wins in the future.

"It was a great achievement, getting my 200th wins on the ATP Tour. I always try and wants to win every match that I played. Yeah, just two years and a half, more or less, being in the tour, playing the tour, having my 200th wins is great for me. I just want to keep going, to keep getting more and more wins."

Some sporting legends were in the stands watching Alcaraz record his 200th win, as Chinese gold medalist in table tennis Fan Zhendong was there to witness his match. The 21-year-old also touched upon that, noting that it was great having such a guest watching his match.

He hoped it was a good watch for Zhendong, who certainly didn't mind seeing the Spaniard dominate the same way he dominated at the Paris Olympics.

"Obviously a special guest in China, getting the gold medalist, great having him here. I hope he enjoyed my match. Yeah, it was a great day for me."

The Spaniard will look to keep that run in Beijing going as he wants to win the trophy. He's been able to find his best tennis again at the Laver Cup and kept up the solid play in Beijing as well.

He might face his young rival Jannik Sinner in the final, as the Italian has also looked solid and is the No. 1 seed at the ATP 500 event.
